The improvement of Airbus Canada's Competitiveness has been identified as a priority to ensure the success of the Program. Thus, the Boost Competitiveness Initiative has been put in place in order to coordinate all efforts related to the aircraft cost reduction and organizational effectiveness opportunities.

The Competitiveness Teams is organised around 3 blocks:

  • The Design to Cost Portfolio Management ensures the right level of RC reduction materializes in the targeted timeframe through redesign of the aircraft
  • The Strategic and Transverse Projects Portfolio team will drive and/or monitor all non-DtC RC reduction activities, such as Procurement negotiations (programme specific and cross-programme) and complex transverse cost reduction projects
  • The Competitiveness Business Management monitors the status of the global Competitiveness portfolio vs the targeted trajectory, anticipates or identifies deviations and ensures the implementation of the adequate measures to achieve the defined RC savings objectives year on year.

In your role, as Competitiveness Finance Business Partner,

  • You will act as a financial business partner to give guidance on all finance related matters to the Competitiveness community, and ensure consistency with the financial data of the central Finance department.
  • You will act as financial front desk for the Competitiveness Team, being responsible for the financial consolidation and analysis of all Competitiveness related cost savings activities and initiatives.
  • You will monitor the RC and NRC evolution and projections and provide relevant alerts. With your colleagues from the Competitiveness Business Management Team, you will be managing and tracking risk & opportunities vs. target on the whole Competitiveness perimeter, and foster the risk mitigation plan and drumbeat mitigation actions.
  • You will be preparing the Operational Planning (OP) based on the inputs from the Competitiveness community, including recommendations on the target setting and forecast for the Competitiveness community.
  • You will support the target alignment incl. convergence with Functions, challenging, convincing and aligning to achieve the defined financial targets.
  • You will help to establish, challenge and evaluate business cases proposed by the Competitiveness community and provide recommendations, and continuously update and re-evaluate the business cases including requested sensitivities.
  • You will set up and propose different scenarios for relevant strategic decisions, and run the necessary deep-dives to establish the cost baseline, projection and trajectory for the Competitiveness Program.
  • You will provide recommendations for budget release for Competitiveness related activities to the Functions and support approval process with the Central Finance team.

As our ideal candidate, you will:

  • Have an University Degree in accounting, finance or MBA
  • Have at least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a project finance environment
  • Have the ability to work with different teams globally and across countries
  • Show flexibility and the capability of working in a dynamic, fast paced and deadline-oriented business environment
  • Show decisiveness and excellent critical, analytical and conceptual thinking
  • Have good organizational skills, ability to prioritize work and work well under pressure in a results driven environment
  • Proactive leadership approach and service oriented
  • Good interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills
  • Advanced experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Are fluent in English, French being a plus.
