Description of the job

You will be part of A220 Strategic Procurement for Equipment and Systems and you will be in charge of the Primary Flight Controls work packages: PARKER Fly-by-Wire (FbW), COLLINS Primary Flight Control Computers (PFCC) and WOODWARD Cockpit Controls (TQA & RPA) embedded in A220. You will report to the System Commodity Leader (SCL) / MFT Leader for Primary Flight Control Systems based in Toulouse (FR) and to the Head of A220 Equipment and Systems based in Mirabel (CA). The job is located in Airbus Canada at Mirabel (Canada).

In your role:

You will be managing the Airbus Procurement account on Primary Flight Controls work packages for A220 Program and you will be in charge of the implementation of AIRBUS Procurement actions. The job holder contributes to Multi Functional Team (MFT) and Systems Commodity activities. The job holder supports the definition and implementation of the Commodity Strategies and is in charge of the Procurement Process for his/her perimeter.

You will be directly in charge of the contract administration for a portfolio of suppliers. This includes:

  • Monitoring of the contract with suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve, throughout the contract life cycle, a complete application of terms and conditions to ensure suppliers deliver expected performance in all dimensions (Logistics, support, quality, cost...).
  • Coordination with the Multi-Functional Team (Engineering, Program, Finance and Supply Chain etc.) for all activities related to the contracts.
  • managing the process of selecting suppliers
  • purchasing of the respective equipment and systems,
  • compliance with Procurement Procedures,
  • enforcing and updating applicable contracts throughout the equipment and system life cycle including the negotiation of change requests,
  • managing the business interface with part of the supplier base and
  • significantly supporting the achievement of Cost Reduction Targets for your perimeter

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • You have procurement experience is essential, although applications from applicants with good business experience and knowledge of the Procurement processes are also welcomed.
  • You have experience in working in a multi-functional environment, with internal & external stakeholders
  • You have experience in stakeholder management and influencing internal customers.
  • You have excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • You have Commercial / Contract / Finance knowledge is desirable.
  • You have negotiation level in English, other languages would be an asset
  • You have autonomy and team spirit
