Airbus' ties to Canada were deepened in October 2017 when Airbus sought to acquire a majority stake in the C Series Aircraft Limited Partnership (renamed Airbus Canada Limited Partnership in June 2019), the entity that manufactures and sells Bombardier's single-aisle C Series jets- rebranded the A220 Family, with its two versions designated the A220-100 and A220-300. The partnership markets, manufactures and supports the A220 Family worldwide.


In your role, you will:

  • Develop and lead a multi-functional team (consisting of both direct and indirect reports) in the development, integration and certification of Avionics Systems on A220 aircraft
  • Define and manage budget
  • Provide managerial leadership in decision making process (e.g. CCB, PCR) aligned with business priorities
  • Ensure cross collaboration and coordination with other stakeholders outside the team (Suppliers, WPs, Customer Support...) for proper project execution
  • Lead Environmental Control System discussions in program Steering Committees
  • Provide inputs to financial reviews for cost control purposes
  • Ensure your team is appropriately staffed and manage/support the hiring and onboarding process
  • Help your team grow from both a technical and career perspective
  • Management of integrated engineering/industrial plan and risks
  • Deliver in time and cost, quality and performance

As our ideal candidate,

  • You hold a university degree in a technical field
  • You have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the field of both Product Development and Sustaining is required
  • You are a confident, knowledgeable and energetic person with excellent communication skills, good team building skills, excellent project management, supplier management abilities, strategic orientation and strong teamwork and collaboration
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience supervising employees and demonstrated experience in being able to meet planned commitments

Travel, sometimes at short notice, is expected
