Airbus' ties to Canada were deepened in October 2017 when Airbus sought to acquire a majority stake in the C Series Aircraft Limited Partnership (renamed Airbus Canada Limited Partnership in June 2019), the entity that manufactures and sells Bombardier's single-aisle C Series jets- rebranded the A220 Family, with its two versions designated the A220-100 and A220-300. The partnership markets, manufactures and supports the A220 Family worldwide.

In your role, you will:

  • Improve and develop supplier performance by providing expert support at supplier site - covering end to end processes, using continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Develop the Supply Chain to the appropriate maturity level in order to support Suppliers to ensure OQOTOC performance. Develop quality mindset & continuous improvement.
  • Manage Key Performance Indicators for the A220 Aerostructures suppliers: Shortages, Late to PO, RNCs, Disclosure Letters, Quality Gates.
  • Ensure supplier performance data is available for Strategic Procurement to manage supplier non-performance from a commercial point of view.
  • When a field mission or a supplier development is deemed necessary :
  • Identify the supplier weaknesses, capabilities, capacities, axis of improvements and development to improve supply chain maturity and robustness.
  • Prepare mission statement, establish and agree with supply chain stakeholder's pertinent objectives, targets and CID (corrective, improvement and development) action plan.
  • Drive the implementation of supply chain continuous improvement methodologies (LEAN, 6 sigma, Problem solving, knowledge sharing,...), and tools (indicators, process controls, test means,...) at supplier's site.
  • Manage with the supplier and report regularly on actions plan, development plan achievements.
  • Support the supply chain operation team for recovery plan on critical issues to ensure supplier's performance targets are achieved.
  • Contribute to anticipate recurring supplier quality issues and initiate preventive measures.
  • Ensure that suppliers have clear plans to support the rate increase:
  • Perform CCP and IPCA analysis and follow-up actions.
  • Support the creation and validation of required CapEx requests from suppliers.
  • Manage Airbus driven Transfers of Work and strongly monitor supplier driven Transfers of Work incl.:
  • Validation of the Transfer Notification Form.
  • Transfer plan as per LBIP and APQP Methodology including investments when required.
  • Last Article inspection and First Article Inspection.
  • Approval of new production sites.
  • Support Design to Cost initiatives when they impact the Supply Chain incl.:
  • Clear understanding of the industrial impact of the change.
  • Definition and monitoring of an industrial plan using the APQP methodology when required.
  • Definition and monitoring of CapEx dossiers when required.
  • Last Article inspection and First Article Inspection.
  • Ensure that Supply Chain is compliant to Airbus Quality Requirements:
  • Perform approval of suppliers.
  • Ensure Supplier Control Reviews are performed on time.
  • Deploy APQP on relevant projects within Airbus Canada.
  • Support the change management process in Airbus Canada by aligning Supply Chain Quality Methods, Processes and Tools between Airbus Canada and Airbus Europe when required.
  • Act as a focal point for Procurement Operations Aerostructures (POS) in Airbus Canada:
  • Represent POS in all key A220 Programme and FAL Reviews (e.g. PAR).
  • Engage and develop the network of all POS Supply Chain Quality Managers working on A220 incl. development of skills and competences.
  • Support other POS commodities locally within Airbus Canada when required.
  • Ensure all A220 Supply Chain Quality initiatives are properly cascaded within POS.
  • Support the definition of the budget and resource needs (OP) for POS.

As our ideal candidate:

  • You have a bachelor degree in commerce or equivalent
  • You have 5 to 10 years of relevent experience
  • You are efficient project management
  • You have a commercial and contractual background and legal awareness
  • You have a financial key indicators knowledge
  • You have experience in delivering cost reduction initiatives
  • You have the ability to drive improvement & innovation to deliver concrete results
  • You have in depths know-how of material & parts and supplier strategies of his/her perimeter
  • You have proven exprience in communication, especially with suppliers' representatives and internal stakeholders
  • You are effective management of customer expectations and stakeholders
  • You can negotiate well in English
