Description of the job

You will be part of the Project Management Office supporting Engineering Organization for all activities related to flight and ground tests required for the A220 development projects, which include resolving in-service issues, developing Design to Cost (DtC) modifications and the ACJ TwoTwenty (A220 business aircraft version). In addition, the jobholder will be responsible to project manage the planning and execution of the upcoming Airbus Canada Flight and Integration Test Center.

The position is based in Mirabel, Quebec.

In your role as a Project Management Business Partner (PMBP) in Test activities, you will:

  • Organize and coordinate workshops for the definition and planning of the processes, methods and tools of the future Airbus Canada Flight and Integration Test Center
  • Project manage the test schedule and ensure adherence to key milestones (ex. Test Readiness Review, SOF Readiness Reviews)
  • Manage the execution to plan on the test related deliverables (Request For Test (RFT), Test Definition Sheets (TDS), Safety of Flight Statement (SOF)
  • Coordinate the activities associated to
    • Flight Test Instrumentation design
    • Parts (aircraft, experimental, instrumentation) logistics
    • Test Definition, execution and reporting
    • RSI management
    • Flight Permit obtention
    • Safety Review Board


As our ideal candidate,

  • You have an Engineering Bachelor degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
  • You have five (5) to eight (8) years of relevant experience in project management
  • You ideally have experience in flight and ground testing in the aerospace industry
  • You show strong leadership skills in line with the Airbus leadership model
  • You are resourceful and able to find creative ways to achieve desired outcome, adapting to rapidly changing situations and emerging obstacles
  • Ability to work to strict timescales as part of an integrated, multidiscipline team
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • You have excellent communication and inter-personal skills and are a team player
  • You have superior skills in MS Office including MS Project, PowerPoint and Excel
