Airbus' ties to Canada were deepened in October 2017 when Airbus sought to acquire a majority stake in the C Series Aircraft Limited Partnership (renamed Airbus Canada Limited Partnership in June 2019), the entity that manufactures and sells Bombardier's single-aisle C Series jets- rebranded the A220 Family, with its two versions designated the A220-100 and A220-300.  The partnership markets, manufactures and supports the A220 Family worldwide.

Reporting directly to the Head of A220 Cabin Program Product Delivery and Development, you will be responsible to:

  • Define, develop and deploy cabin product evolutions, developments and industrialization strategies;

 

  • Oversee, execute and implement key program initiatives to improve aircraft unit cost, revenue generation and customer satisfaction;

 

  • Ensure smooth delivery and integration of cabin commodities to support the Mirabel and Mobile final assembly lines and deliver an on time, on quality, on cost cabin for a best in class customer experience;

In your role, you will:

  • Be accountable for the end-to-end program oversight of selected cabin developments;
  • Lead feasibility studies, business case evaluations and implementation recommendations;
  • Be accountable for the coordination, governance, planning, risk & opportunities management, and budget of assigned projects, proving progress visibility and escalation as required;
  • Develop cabin commodity roadmaps in collaboration with Airbus cross-program teams;
  • Participate in Airbus cross-program commodity MFT's (Multi-Functional Team) to:
  • Establish product strategies;
  • Identify and select best supplier for each phase of the product life cycle;
  • Manage and control the operational relationships with suppliers;
  • Monitor suppliers' performance and commodity;
  • Ensure improvement actions plangenerating higher value for Airbus;
  • Reinforce quality and customer protection.

 

  • Lead the Integrated Working Team leaders (IWT) in charge of the Configuration and Change Management Process for major cabin changes (i.e. development, detail design, parts manufacturing or purchasing, supplier engagement, industrial set up toward point of embodiment);

 

  • Support the in-service organization on improvement initiatives and lead implementation of major fleet changes, from finding to implementation;

 

  • Coordinating and integrate all stakeholders (i.e.: Program, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Customer Services, ...) through the introduction of initiatives;

 

As our ideal candidate,

  • You hold a Management/Engineering bachelor's degree, an MBA is an asset;
  • You show strong leadership skills in line with the Airbus leadership model;
  • You have a minimum of 7 years of experience in Program or Project management;
  • You have strong analytical skills, planning, problem solving, and good interpersonal skills;
  • You are open minded and a great team player ability;
  • You must be autonomous, and have a strong sense of organization, time and priority management;
  • You are fully bilingual (spoken and written) in French and English
  • You are patient, positive and have perseverance.
  • PMP is an asset;
  • Engineering background is an asset;
