Airbus' ties to Canada were deepened in October 2017 when Airbus sought to acquire a majority stake in the C Series Aircraft Limited Partnership (renamed Airbus Canada Limited Partnership in June 2019), the entity that manufactures and sells Bombardier's single-aisle C Series jets- rebranded the A220 Family, with its two versions designated the A220-100 and A220-300.  The partnership markets, manufactures and supports the A220 Family worldwide.

This role is within the A220 Customer Services organization, reporting to the Head of A220 Customer Services.  You will be responsible for project managing all Customer activities related to setting up the  ACJ , Airbus Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) to perform a major modification on the Airbus Corporate Jet (ACJ) as well as potentially leveraging an outside Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organization for the work. You will work with customers and all functions within Airbus Canada as well external service providers to complete your mission. 

 

As this is a unique challenge and demanding mandate, you must be versatile to problem solve an array of unique issues. To succeed in this role, you must be dynamic, organized, and a strong project manager and influencer. 

 

In your role, you will:

 

  • Coordinate with all stakeholders from Engineering, Procurement, Tech Pubs, ISE, ME, and other functions to ensure the industrialization plan for the ACJ modifications is aligned with overall Program objectives
  • Reduce industrialization risks by developing focused mitigation strategies
  • Ensure alignment with AMO, MRO, and Cabin Outfitter to comply with overall ACJ plan and requirements
  • Provide oversight on Schedule, Cost, and Quality Performance of the ACJ aircraft modifications with the accountable stakeholders
  • Build an industrialization plan for the AMO, MRO, and workshare between the entities
  • Provide oversight on the development and execution of the industrial requirements across all PCR's slated for ACJ installation
  • Coordinate the requirements and capabilities of each of the stakeholders in order to deliver an achievable industrialization plan
  • Chair governance meeting with all stakeholders to drive readiness and set up for the AMO/MRO.
  • Report on progress weekly to Customer Services leadership and Overall ACJ Program Leader
  • Escalate any risk to top management
  • Provide visibility to senior management on project performance and adherence to plan KPI's
  • Responsible for the delivery of the Industrialization plan (MRO/AMO)

 

 

As our ideal candidate you:

  • Have solid skills in English and French (spoken and written);
  • Have experience in the aerospace industry for at least 5 years, preferably in an MRO environment.
  • Have a university or college degree in a related field (Engineering or Technical);
  • Have strong project management skills PMP Certification or equivalent is considered an asset;
  • As this is a high visibility role, you have excellent people and leadership skills, combined with an ability to positively influence others;
  • You're a team player, autonomous, results oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
