Description of the job

Reporting directly to the Head of A220 Incremental Product Development, the jobholder will be responsible to define and lead the execution end-to-end of a MaMo (Major Modification) or a portfolio of projects synchronized with a STEP (Synchronized Target Embodiement Point).  The jobholder will be contributing directly to the successful implementation of the STEP program, an initiative aiming at synchronizing product modifications in order to answer one or several A220 Programme objectivesThe job holder will be working in collaboration with A220 STEPs Managers and Core Team. 


We are currently looking for positions, to take the accountability and the lead of : 

  • Two Major Modifications on Aerostructures (Fuselage) in close cooperation with our Suppliers; aiming at reducing the recurring cost of the aircraft.    
  • One STEP Stream (area of focus), to deliver together with our Engineering technical leader the structure and the objectives of the Stream, within the STEP framing. 

The grading proposdepends on the complexity of each project, and will be detailed and discussed during the interviews.  


In your role, you will: 

  • be accountable for the MaMo or Stream program management from the definition to the implementation on time, cost (NRC & RC), quality of the portfolio of changes in line with the expected performance and maturity targets of the A220 STEP Programme; 
  • be accountable for the coordination, governance, planning, risk & opportunities, and budget of the MaMo or Stream Multi Functional Teams in charge of developing and delivering the solutions, proving progress visibility and escalation as required; 
  • be accountable to manage the MaMo or Stream Operational Plan (OP) and Resources Plan (skills and competencies); 
  • be responsible to translate stakeholder expectations into clear operational inputs for the Multi Functional Teams (MFT) to allow them to work on the best solutions for customers (internal or external) and the A220 Programme Objectives; 
  • lead the Integrated Working Team leaders (IWT) in charge of the Configuration and Change Management Process, and the Project Management Leaders (PML) responsible to manage the changes, through all the Product Change Request phases (PCR process) and STEP Maturity Gates; i.e. development, detail design, parts manufacturing or purchasing, supplier engagement, industrial set up and rate readiness; 
  • coordinating and integrating all stakeholders (i.e.: Program, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Customer Services, ...) in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) and/or MFT approach. 

As our ideal candidate,  

  • you hold a Management/Engineering bachelor degree or diploma, an MBA is an asset; 
  • you show strong leadership skills in line with the Airbus leadership model 
  • PMP is an asset; 
  • you have a minimum of 7 years of experience in Program, Industrial or Project management; 
  • you have strong analytical skills, planning, problem solving, and good interpersonal skills; 
  • you are open minded and a great team player ability;  
  • you must be autonomous, and have a strong sense of organization, time and priority management; 
  • you are fully bilingual (spoken and written) in French and English  
  • you are patient, positive and have perseverance.
