Description of the job

 

The director Information Management (IM) programs will through pro-active leadership and management of IM objectives, strategy and execution ensure an optimal and sustainable IM programs delivery which meets or exceeds business expectations in all aspects of Airbus Canada's businesses globally, taking into account:

       People and organization

       Customer service excellence

       Application management

       Project and portfolio management

  • Governance processes

 

Your key responsibilities will be:

 

  • Working closely along the business functions to agree a program scope maximizing the value through IM enablement, managing the trade-offs between IM solution customizing cost versus business process adjustments;
  • Ensure delivery of the approved program scope and management of scope changes to ensure best possible time to market;
  • Secure the alignment of the IM program delivery with the business strategy and drive the business to utilize competitive advantages through technology enabled processes;
  • Contribute to the definition and execution of the IT separation program to establish a self-sufficient Airbus Canada technology enablement;
  • Delivery of IM programs meeting or exceeding the needs of the business as expressed through business requirements documents and global IM governance principles;
  • Technical design and realization of end to end solutions as defined in the program brief;
  • Planning and management of program execution in time, quality and budget;
  • Development and management of all people and organization aspects for the relevant domains;
  • Optimization of resource availability through make or buy decision, in order to optimize the cost base and provide flexibility for varying capacity utilizations;
  • Operational management of resource utilization;
  • Manage internal and external suppliers and other resources;
  • Operational financial steering of the respective team;
  • Continuous improvement of IM products and services through harmonization and standardization of platforms and business processes;
  • Contributing to the development of and aligning to the IM group standards;
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with existing laws, regulations, IM Governance Processes, and Internal Controls;
  • Appropriate risk management measures.

  • Have a bachelor's degree in Computer science, engineering or a relevant field of study is required as a minimum and a master's degree is preferable.
